
Looking for family oriented festivities that are free, very kid friendly and maybe even educational? The Richard Byrd Library in Springfield has exactly what you need.
On Saturday, August 10 from 12:30 pm to 4 pm, the library is turning into “Antarctica”. Our August in Antarctica Family Day has all kinds of cool things for all ages. There will be:
· Extreme Cold Weather Gear for kids to try on (thank you, National Science Foundation)

Bring your camera because there will be photo opportunities galore. And after you've gotten on those great pictures and are ready to go home, we’ll end your visit with a frozen treat.
