The Don Beyer Volvo showroom was awash in Mardi Gras purples, green, and gold as the Mount Vernon Democratic Committee celebrated its annual fundraiser last night. Notable guests from the Mount Vernon political scene included Board of Supervisors Chairman Sharon Bulova, Mount Vernon District Supervisor Gerry Hyland, Congressman Jim Moran (D-Va.), Congressman Gerry Connolly (D-Va.), and Delegate Scott Surovell.
