UPDATE: Voter Turnout Higher in Mount Vernon, Lee Districts
Percentages are among highest in county.

UPDATED STORY: Final turnout numbers are now available for the elections Tuesday. In Mount Vernon District, the highest turnout percentages for the Fort Hunt and Huntington-Belle Haven area are as follows:
Belle Haven: 5.9 percent
Belleview: 6.2 percent

Local turnout percentages in the Lee District in the Hybla Valley area were lower than in the Fort Hunt community.
ORIGINAL STORY: The Mount Vernon and Lee districts had some of the highest primary election voter turnout rates in Fairfax County, according to data from the county's Office of Elections.
As of 2 p.m., Lee District had highest turnout among county districts, with 3.4 percent. Mount Vernon had turnout of 2.9 percent.
In Mount Vernon, the Fort Hunt precinct led the pack with 200 voters, or 8.9 percent. The Waynewood precinct counted 76 voters, or 5.9 percent. The Huntington precinct numbered 174 voters, or 5.1 percent.
The Hollin Hall precinct recorded 103 voters, or 4.2 percent. Belleview numbered 141 voters, or 6.2 percent, while Belle Haven had 125, or 5.9 percent.
Turnout was lower along the Route 1 corridor in Lee District. Groveton reported only 1.7 percent of voters turning out, and Hybla Valley had 1.3 percent.
As of 2 p.m., the countywide average turnout was 2.4 percent.
