2 People Displaced From Kingstowne House Fire
An electrical event in the oven sparked the fire, according to Fairfax County Fire and Rescue.

KINGSTOWNE, VA—Two people were displaced after Tuesday's house fire in the Kingstowne area, says Fairfax County Fire and Rescue. No one was injured.
Units from Fairfax County and Alexandria responded to the 6400 block of Briarmoor Lane around 2:52 p.m. Tuesday. Crews located a fire in the kitchen and quickly extinguished it, as well as an extension through the walls into the second floor.
One person was home at the time and was notified by smoke alarms. The resident evacuated and called for help.

Investigators determined the fire started from an electrical event in the electronic control area of the oven.
The residents declined Red Cross assistance. Damages are estimated to be $20,000.
