4 Hayfield Plaza Businesses Targeted In Burglary: Police

FRANCONIA, VA — Four businesses at Hayfield Plaza Shopping Center were burglarized between the night of Aug. 7 and early morning of Aug. 8, Fairfax County Police say.

The burglaries happened at Hot Bagel, Katana Sushi, Stone Hot Pizza and House of Dynasty. In all of the incidents, the suspect broke in by smashing the front door glass. Cash was stolen from all four businesses.

Police believe the break-ins happened between 10 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 7 and 5:15 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 8. A suspect description is not available.

Peeping

• 7100 block of Highland Street, Springfield, 08/08/19 at 12:45 a.m. The resident believed he saw a white male in his 20`s with brown hair wearing a red shirt peeking into their bedroom window. The man fled the area on foot.

Larcenies

• 6500 block of Backlick Road, Springfield, license plate from vehicle
• 6500 block of Forsythia Street, Springfield, ornament from residence
• 7000 block of Manchester Boulevard, Franconia, wine from business
• 7000 block of Old Keene Mill Road, Springfield, credit cards from location
• 5600 block of Tower Hill Circle, Franconia, wallet from vehicle

Stolen vehicles

• 7600 block of Fairfield Woods Court, 2007 Suzuki GSXR1000 motorcycle
• 12100 block of Monument Drive, 2020 Honda CBR650F motorcycle
