Absentee Voting Underway in 8th Congressional District Democratic Primary
Primary is June 10; if you can't make it that day, you can vote absentee. There are 19 different reasons that a person may choose from for voting absentee.
Absentee voting for the 8th congressional District Democratic primary began Friday, with a location in each of the four city/county component jurisdictions in theĀ 8th District.
Voters must specify a reason why they are voting absenteeĀ on theirĀ absentee ballot applicationĀ (applications are available at the in-person voting poll location). This reason may not be challenged, however, clarification may be requested to satisfy completing the application (see application, āSupporting Information Required').Ā
There are 19 different reasons that a person may choose fromĀ forĀ voting absenteeĀ (click here).Ā Voting in person is preferred over voting by mail to make sure that your ballot is received timelyĀ and counted.

Absentee voting information for each jurisdiction:
- AlexandriaĀ City:Ā infoĀ / location āĀ 132 North Royal Street, #100
- ArlingtonĀ County:Ā infoĀ / location āĀ Courthouse Plaza, 2100 Clarendon Boulevard, Suite 320
- Falls ChurchĀ City:Ā infoĀ / location āĀ 300 Park Avenue, Suite 101 East
- FairfaxĀ County:Ā infoĀ / location āĀ 12000 Government Center Parkway, Suite 323Ā (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m.; Thursdays: 8 a.m.-7 p.m.; Saturdays: May 31 and June 7, 9 a.m.-5 p.m.)
Fairfax County is considering adding another absentee votingĀ location. Patch will update with information when it becomes available.
