Athlete of the Week: Marcus Brumsey

Scores 13 in surprise loss to Wakefield

Edison suffered a shocking loss at the hands of Wakefield last week, letting a late lead slip away to the clearly inferior Warriors. Freshman Marcus Brumsey had a great individual game, scoring 13 points.

His efforts earned him Rose Hill Patch's Athlete of the Week.

Wakefield stunned the Eagles, scoring 27 points in the fourth quarter. Still, Edison is one of the top two teams in the National District, and still looks like a darkhorse contender for the Northern Region. A lot of that has to do with Brumsey and Jerome Diggs on the perimeter, and Matt Murphy inside.

Brumsey and the Eagles return to action in a huge game Tuesday, when they travel to Arlington to take on Yorktown.
