Attempted Bank Fraud In Springfield Leads To Beltway Chase
Police chased the the suspects' car on the Capital Beltway after one tried to cash a fraudulent check.

SPRINGFIELD, VA—Fairfax County Police chased down two bank fraud suspects on the Capital Beltway after they fled from a bank in Springfield Thursday afternoon.
Around 3:30 p.m., police say a woman tried to cash a check with an identification card and debit card at the BB&T Bank on Bland Street. The bank teller saw that the ID did not match the woman and called police.
The woman fled with another person in a car, which police tracked down on the Capital Beltway. An officer pulled the car over initially, but the driver fled at a high speed. The pursuit ultimately ended on the Beltway near Gallows Road.

The woman, Tara Sanfilippo, 26, and the driver, Caleb Tucker, 23, both of North Carolina, were arrested. Tucker was charged with felony speed to elude, grand larceny, identity theft, credit card larceny and driving without a license. Sanfilippo was charged with grand larceny, credit card larceny and identity theft.
