ALEXANDRIA, VA -- When you enter a bar, it'd be nice if it was a place that had not only good beer, but good cheer. You know, a place "where everybody knows your name." While the "Cheers" bar is made for TV, in reality, Kingstowne has some spots that come awfully close.

Fiona's Irish Pub: Kingstowne Towne Center, 5810 Kingstowne Center, Alexandria, VA 22315. The Irish know their beers. The classic Irish tavern has a substantial beer menu in a cozy pub setting. According to one Yelper, "I haven't seen such a selective and unique beer list like that at even some nice bars I've been to...They have so many labels, particularly bottled, and on top of that, our server was extremely knowledgeable about pretty much every single beer."

Burtons Grill & Bar of Alexandria: Hilltop Village Center, 6452 Old Beulah St, Alexandria, VA 22315. The upscale bar features both bottles and draft beers and is a go-to happy hour spot for after work. Patrons can relax and watch TV at the bar or head to the seasonal outdoor patio complete with a fire table. One Yelper says, "Burtons Grill and Bar is a great place to have a nice sit down meal. They have a great selection of beers on tap and a full bar. I can't wait to go back for happy hour."

Yard House: Springfield Town Center, 6791 Springfield Mall, Springfield, VA 22150. If you're looking for a gigantic selection of beers, this is your place. The spot is a mix between a sports bar and upscale restaurant. One Yelp user said, "The music was good, it was loud enough to heard but not distracting and we were able to have a natural conversation without shouting like in a sports bar."

Bungalow Sports Grill: Festival at Manchester Lakes, 7003 Manchester Blvd C, Alexandria, VA 22310. Catch a sports game while scoring happy hour specials or a $2 draft beer anytime at this bar. One Yelper exclaimed, "My friends and I played about six games of pool and the happy hour special was awesome. Love the wings!! The atmosphere was pretty laid back, it's perfect for groups."
