Driver Robbed After Person Requests Ride To Church In Rose Hill
The driver believed he was taking the suspect to a church but ended up giving him and another suspect cash.
ROSE HILL, VA — A driver offering a ride to a church in the Rose Hill area was robbed instead Wednesday, according to Fairfax County Police.
Around 2:30 p.m., the driver picked up a man in the 6000 block of Rose Hill Drive requesting a ride to a nearby church. During the ride, the suspect asked to stop at a nearby restaurant to use the bathroom. When the suspect returned to the car, another man also got in the back seat.
The two men told the driver to drive to a bank and withdraw cash. The two men took the cash and fled. According to NBC4, there was no indication a weapon was involved.

The first suspect is described as a black man, around 5 foot 5 with short hair and a short beard. The second suspect is described as a black man around 6 foot with short hair and a long beard.
Police did not say if the victim was a rideshare or taxi driver.
