Invites you to a special evening & conversation with Alfredo Sfeir-Younis Peace Ambassador
Dr. Alfredo Sfeir-Younis is a retired senior economist from the World Bank and Peace Ambassador. He is recognized globally for linking spirituality to economics and an advocate of inner and world peace. He was the Special Representative to the United Nations and the World Trade Organization and, from 1996 to 1999, he was the World Bank Special Representative at the United Nations. He regularly participated at the Commission of Human Rights and in many international meetings on issues related to trade, globalization, indigenous rights, poverty, women and justice.
“Alfredo is unlike many modern economists, because his economic equation includes humanity and morality. Spiritual values have a part in all of his work – and these values are not just something he believes, but he applies in many practical ways to bring justice to the world. It must be said that what he does is no easy thing because his work runs against the tide of materialistic economic thinking in the world.” - Phrabhayanaviriyakhun, Vice-President Dhammakaya Foundation Thailand
Alfredo recently returned from 108 days of silent retreat hosted by Dhammakaya Foundation in Thailand as the guest of the Abbott. He wishes to share his insights from his efforts using the Crystal Light meditation practice in a talk he entitles, "Changing the World and Changing it Now".
Join us for this inspirational and most practical talk!
