Fairfax County Among Nation's Wealthiest Areas

FAIRFAX COUNTY, VA—The Census Bureau latest estimates show once again, DC suburbs dominate the list of the most affluent places in the United States, WTOP reports.

Counties and independent cities are included in the Census Bureau's latest estimates. Fairfax County ranked third with a median income of $112,844.

Nearby, Loudoun County again took the number one spot with a median income of $125,900 and the City of Falls Church came in second with $122,092. Arlington County was eighth with $104,354, Fairfax City 15th with $99,671 and Prince William County 16th with $99,206.
