Fatal Hit + Run: Police Seek Help Finding Vehicle from Sunday Night

Detectives are seeking the public’s assistance in locating the vehicle involved in the fatal hit and run crash from November 1. The victim may have been struck by a white “full size” truck or van with chrome accessories and additional lighting similar to these photos.

The fatal hit and run took place Sunday night at about 10:43 p.m. on Franconia Road (see map below).
Zohoor Ali Khan, 69, was killed. It appears he stopped in the unprotected median to wait for passing traffic when he was struck by a vehicle traveling westbound. The vehicle and its driver failed to stop, police said.

Khan was found in the travel lanes at the intersection of Franconia Road and Brookland Road and was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
