2 Injured In Springfield Town Center Restaurant Fire
A second alarm was requested due to smoke in the building.

SPRINGFIELD, VA—Two people was injured in a restaurant fire at Springfield Town Center Thursday morning.
Crews responded to a kitchen fire, according to a tweet sent at 10:15 a.m. A Facebook post derived from the fire/EMS scanner said the fire happened at Yard House. As of 11:10 a.m., the fire was out and smoke was cleared to the building. One employee and one firefighter had minor injuries, Fairfax County Fire and Rescue says.
Fire investigators determined the cause to be a grease fire started in a large cooking pan. The fire sprinkler systems contained the fire, but a second alarm was requested to assist with smoke removal.
