How Kingstowne Area Voted In The 2018 Virginia General Election

KINGSTOWNE, VA—Election Day in Virginia saw three congressional districts flip to the Democrats, which included Jennifer Wexton's victory over Rep. Barbara Comstock in Northern Virginia. While the Kingstowne-Rose Hill area didn't have the same kind of competitive races, we're taking a look at how its precincts voted.

For the largely blue area, it wasn't a matter of who voters were going to choose for Congress but by how much. Local voters also overwhelmingly re-elected Democratic Rep. Don Beyer and chose Democratic Sen. Tim Kaine over Republican Corey Stewart.

With 100 percent of Fairfax County precincts reporting vote totals, some of the top local precincts for Kaine were: Lane (79.03 percent), Van Dorn (76.87 percent) and Villages (74.55 percent). The top precincts for Beyer were: Lane (76.95 percent), Van Dorn (74.85 percent) and Pioneer (74.36 percent).
