1 Person Dies In 2-Alarm Blaze In Springfield
BREAKING: Fairfax County and Alexandria firefighters battled a blaze at a Springfield home.
SPRINGFIELD, VA—One person is dead after a fire at a Springfield home went to two alarms Wednesday, the Fairfax County Fire and Rescue says.
Around 11:30 a.m., units responded to the 7200 block of Beverly Park Drive. Firefighters discovered heavy fire showing from the front of the home. It took about 15 minutes to put out the fire.
Police found the deceased resident during a primary search. The victim has not been identified.

There is no immediate word on damage estimates. Fire investigators will look into the cause of the blaze.
Alexandria and Fort Belvoir firefighters assisted on scene when a second alarm was requested.
