Inova Springfield Hospital To Be Discussed At Virtual Meeting
Inova Health System announced in 2020 its intent to build a hospital next to the current Franconia-Springfield HealthPlex.
SPRINGFIELD, VA — After Inova Health System's 2020 announcement of a future Inova Springfield hospital, a virtual meeting is planned Wednesday to provide an update on the proposal.
The meeting will be held through Zoom on Wednesday, Sept. 22 from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Inova leaders will discuss the proposal, and Lee District Supervisor Rodney Lusk will provide opening remarks.
The hospital will be built on property next to the Inova Franconia-Springfield HealthPlex. Inova said the planned expansion resulted from an assessment of the communities served in the eastern region of Northern Virginia. Last year, Inova also announced a HealthPlex in Alexandria’s Oakville Triangle and future relocation of Inova Alexandria Hospital to a redeveloped Landmark Mall.
