Firenza Pizza has the free pizza offer available on Tuesday, Jan. 22.

KINGSTOWNE, VA—With the government shutdown reaching one month, a Kingstowne area business has an offer to help furloughed federal employees. Firenza Pizza, which has locations in Kingstowne and Fairfax, will give federal employees a free 10-inch cheese or pepperoni pizza each on Tuesday, Jan. 22.

To redeem the offer, federal workers must download the Firenza Pizza app and present their federal employment ID.

"We want to help out our federal workers in any way we can," Firenza Pizza co-founder and president Dave Baer said. "As a locally-based business, the affected employees are our neighbors and we feel it is only right to give back to them during a stressful time."
