Kingstowne Farmers Market Reopens In May

KINGSTOWNE, VA—With the weather warming up, we're all ready to head outdoors to pick out local produce from our farmers markets. The wait is almost over for patrons of the Kingstowne Farmers Market as it returns Friday, May 3. The farmers market is held each Friday through Oct. 25 from 4 p.m.-7 p.m. in the Giant parking lot, 5870 Kingstowne Towne Center.

This year's farmers market boasts 12 vendors:

• 1690 Farm: Calvert County, Md., produce, eggs, herbs, meat
• Colonial Kettle Corn: Fairfax County, Va., kettle corn
• C&T Produce: produce, plants
• Dawn & Dusk Craft Coffee Bar: Fairfax County, Va., beverages, prepared food
• Elda Gardens: Fauquier County, Va., plants, produce, herbs, meat, dairy, other
• Great Harvest Bread Company: Fairfax County, Va., baked goods, packaged food
• Kilmer's Farm Market: Berkeley County, W.Va., produce
• Linda Vista Farm: Westmoreland County, Va., produce, plants, herbs
• Salsa La Glorias: Fauquier County, Va., packaged food
• Smiths of Mecklenburg: Mecklenburg County, Va., produce, packaged food, meat
• Sweet Nuna Middle Eastern Delicacies: Fairfax County, Va., baked goods, packaged food
• Ana's Twist: baked goods, packaged food, prepared food, fruit

The Kingstowne Farmers Market is one of 10 farmers markets operated under the Fairfax County Park Authority. The markets are strictly producer-only, meaning vendors items are raised on their farms or made from scratch. All vendors come from a 125 mile radius of Fairfax County.

Pets are not permitted at farmers markets with the exception of service animals.
