Kingstowne Grocery Store Hours On Thanksgiving

KINGSTOWNE, VA—Even after several trips to the store this week, it's almost a guarantee that someone will still have to run out for last-minute purchases of dinner rolls, whipped cream, wine or stuffing mix. Which grocery stores will be open on Thanksgiving, Thursday, Nov. 23, and how about Black Friday, if you need to stock up to feed guests?

Some food stores in the region — Giant, Wegmans, Whole Foods and Safeway — are open on Thanksgiving, but close early, so check on individual stores for their hours. The day after, most return to normal operating hours. Other chains, including ALDI and Costco, are closed for the holiday.

To help you know your go-to stores over the upcoming holiday, we have open and closed hours for stores, plus links to their websites. Here's a list of Thanksgiving and Black Friday hours for Kingstowne-Rose Hill grocery stores, taken from their websites and emails to Patch. Some stores may vary.

• Wegmans: 7905 Hilltop Village Center Drive Alexandria, VA 22315. Stores will close at 4 p.m. on Thanksgiving, and will reopen at 7 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 24.
• Giant: 5870 Kingstowne Blvd, Alexandria, VA 22315. Hours: 9 a.m.-5 p.m.
  Aldi: Concord Shopping Center, 6129 Backlick Rd, Springfield, VA 22150. Closed on Thanksgiving.
• Costco: 7373 Boston Blvd, Springfield, VA 22153. Closed on Thanksgiving.
• Shoppers: Festival at Manchester Lakes, 7005 Manchester Blvd, Franconia, VA 22310 Open 6 a.m.-6 p.m.
• Target: Springfield Town Center, 6600 Springfield Mall, Springfield, VA 22150. Hours: 6 p.m.-midnight. Stores re-open at 6 a.m. on Black Friday.
• Walmart: 5885 Kingstowne Blvd Alexandria, VA 22315. Stores will be open on Thanksgiving Day and will unveil Black Friday deals at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 23.
• Trader Joe's: Springfield Plaza, 6394 Springfield Plaza, Springfield, VA 22150. Closed on Thanksgiving.
• Safeway: Kingstowne Towne Center, 5980 Kingstowne Center, Alexandria, VA 22315. Hours: 5 a.m.-7 p.m.
  6130 Rose Hill Dr, Alexandria, VA 22310. Hours: 5 a.m.-7 p.m.
• BJ's Wholesale: 101 S. Van Dorn St. Alexandria, VA 22304. Closed on Thanksgiving.
