Kingstowne Resident Awakens To Burglar Breaking In
The burglar was still in the residence when officers arrived.
A resident awoke to a person breaking into his apartment unit in Kingstowne overnight Monday, according to Fairfax County Police.
The burglary happened around 1:03 a.m. in the 6000 block of Curtier Drive. As the victim was sleeping, someone broke in through a window. The victim ran outside and called police.
Officers located Michael Helms, 23, of Alexandria, inside the residence. Helms was arrested and charged with unlawful entry and destruction of property.
