Kingstowne Restaurant Inspections: No Gloves While Making Sushi

KINGSTOWNE, VA — Fairfax County regularly conducts health inspections for local restaurants. The frequency of inspections on the type of food served and how it is prepared.

“In our experience, it is unrealistic to expect that a complex, full-service food operation can routinely avoid any violations,” states the Virginia Department of Health’s website.

Here are some of the violations from Kingstowne, Rose Hill and Springfield inspections during the last two months. Among the violations was an employee preparing raw meat for sushi without gloves at Kumo Asian Bistro in Kingstowne. The violation was corrected during the inspection.
