Kingstowne Restaurant Inspections: Rusted Cans Of Milk Found

“In our experience, it is unrealistic to expect that a complex, full-service food operation can routinely avoid any violations," notes the Virginia Department of Health.

violations: Unlabeled food containers with the following food items that are not easily identified by appearance: bottles of oil and water, unlabeled and stored along cookline, dispensing and/or in-use utensils improperly stored between use as follows: ice cream scoop stored in 62f water along cookline, food item(s) were found hot holding at improper temperatures using a calibrated food temperature measuring device: cooked chicken breast in broth held after cooking under a french fry hot bar with the lid covering the broth and chicken was holding at 117f-118f, food-contact surfaces of the following equipment were not observed sanitized: all utensils being washed, rinsed and sanitized in the heat sanitizing dishmachine (all corrected), unit is not operating properly: The heat sanitizing dishmachine; In addition, the dipper well is not operating, doors of the Silverking two door undercounter refrigerator (unit #12) are not properly set to close, utensils were observed with chipped handles and cracks and are in a state of repair and condition preventing effective maintenance and cleaning/sanitization, clean serving utensils and cook equipment are stored on the floor in the dry storage closet which exposes aforementioned items to contamination
