Local Results: How Kingstowne and Rose Hill Voted

Note: The following charts show final, unofficial results based on information from the Virginia Board of Elections as of Nov. 6 at 10:30 a.m.

Voters in the Kingstowne and Rose Hill areas went to the polls Tuesday to choose a new governor, lieutenant governor, attorney general and local delegates.

Terry McAuliffe, a Democrat, narrowly defeated Republican candidate Ken Cuccinelli after a really close race. Democrat Ralph Northam's win over Republican E.W. Jackson for the lieutenant governor position was one of the first to be announced Tuesday night. Mark Obenshain, the only victorious Republican of the night, won the attorney general position over Democrat Mark Herring.

FRANCONIA - 405 votes (32.48%) for Ken Cuccinelli; 776 votes (62.23%) for Terry McAuliffe; 66 votes (5.29%) for Robert Sarvis. Total Votes: 1,247
