Alleged Shoplifter with Knife, at Kingstowne Walmart, Leads Police on Chase
Incident took place Saturday afternoon.

A Maryland man led Fairfax County Police on a chase through Kingstowne Saturday afternoon, after he allegedly shoplifted merchandise at knifepoint and fled from the Kingstowne Walmart.
He had allegedly stolen merchandise there and displayed a knife when confronted by employees at the store, located at 5885 Kingstowne Blvd. in Kingstowne in Fairfax County.
The pursuit and alleged robbery took place at about 2:53 p.m. Saturday, when Walmart contacted police.

Police said Monday that the man attempted to conceal merchandise at the Walmart store. When confronted by store employees, the suspect displayed a knife, police said, and then fled in a vehicle. There were no injuries.
A store employee was able to provide a description of the vehicle and police attempted to stop the suspect vehicle on South Van Dorn Street near Franconia Road. The suspect attempted to evade police and crashed.

The suspect was transported to a local hospital. Jeffrey Lee Hill, 46, of Temple Hills, Md., was charged with robbery.
