Belyea of Culpepper, 45, was being held last week without bond in jail on allegations that he sexually assaulted a teen boy several times in Manassas over the course of six years, Prince William County Police said in a news release.

He is charged with three counts of aggravated sexual battery and three counts of taking indecent liberties with a child, according to Prince William County Police.

Belyea was arrested last week following an investigation into the alleged sexual assault that happened at a home in Manassas between 2004 and 2010, police said.

Police say the victim, now 24, was sexually assaulted by Belyea several times. The victim told family members about the abuse in September. Following an investigation, the accused was arrested.

In 2011, SkillsUSA Virginia awarded Belyea, then a computer systems teacher at Edison Academy, with the 2011 SkillsUSA Virginia Advisor of the Year Award at the State Leadership Conference and Skills Competition, according to a report by Fairfax County Public Schools.
