Maryland Live Is Tops Among State Casinos: Media Report
Arundel Mills casino took in nearly $50 million in September.

Maryland’s five casinos took in $87.5 million in September, and most of that went to Maryland Live at Arundel Mills, according to a media report.
Gamblers spent $49.6 million at Maryland Live, an 8.9 percent increase from September 2014, the Baltimore Business Journal reported. The state’s largest casino, Maryland Live opened in 2012 and is owned and operated by the Cordish Companies, a Baltinore real estate and entertainment firm.
The state’s newest casino, the Horseshoe Casino Baltimore, took in $22.1 million in September, a 20 percent drop from August’s total of $27.6 million, the Business Journal said.

The five casinos brought in $833.3 million in tax revenue for Maryland’s state government in fiscal 2014, according to a report from the Maryland Lottery and Gaming Control Agency.
Overall, September’s casino revenue figure showed a decline from the summer, according to the Business Journal. The state’s five casinos took in $94.1 million in June and $99 million in July.
