Metro Weekend Shutdowns To Impact Franconia-Springfield Riders

Expect delays on the Blue and Yellow Lines as stations shut down around Reagan National Airport over the weekend.

KINGSTOWNE, VA—Metro track work happens usually every weekend nowadays, but this weekend in particular will impact Kingstowne-Rose Hill area riders going to Reagan National Airport or DC.

On Saturday and Sunday, Crystal City and Reagan National Airport stations are closed. That means the Blue and Yellow lines will not operate between Pentagon City and Braddock Road and there is no service to and from Reagan National Airport.

Riders have the option of taking a free shuttle bus between Braddock Road, Reagan National, Crystal City and Pentagon City. Metro estimates each stop could add about 15 minutes to travel time. Other alternatives are the DASH bus, Fairfax Connector, ART bus, and Metrobus, depending on your destination.
