Show your support for service members and families! April 15 is “Purple Up!” day, a celebration of the children of military families. Military Appreciation Night will feature great JV and Varsity Boys’ Lacrosse matchups between the Hayfield Hawks and the visiting Fairfax High School Rebels.
- 5:00 pm – JV faceoff
- 7:00 pm – US Coast Guard Honor Guard Silent Drill Team will perform, and Color Guard will present the colors
- 7:15 pm – Varsity faceoff
Military Appreciation Night will also raise funds for Fisher House at Fort Belvoir, a “home away from home” for military families when a loved one is undergoing medical treatment.
- Concession stand will be operated by Hayfield Lacrosse parent volunteers.
- Fisher House information table volunteers will collect donations and offer details about this crucial resource.
- Recruiters will be present to support this event and offer information about military service.
- Free admission for all military members and dependents with valid military ID card. Young military dependents without ID must enter the stadium with military parent/guardian.
- Regular admission $5; under 6 and over 60 admitted free.
- Outdoor event, subject to weather delays.
