Peapod is the grocery chain’s delivery service; a truck usually delivers groceries to customer’s homes. In this case, customers would stop and pick up their order after getting off the Metro or pull their car up at Kiss ‘n Ride.

The idea could be a win-win for customers, the Metro and Giant. There’s increasing competition from other delivery services and Metro could collect a fee from Giant.

Stay tuned — the Post says if any agreement goes forward, the delivery service could start in the spring.

What do you think of the possible new service? Is it something you would use?
