Markeem Ho-sang, 25, and Roderick Norman, 25, also of Miami Gardens, have been charged with multiple counts of credit card fraud and possession of credit card forgery devices, the police said.

The three were arrested shortly after 4 p.m. Thursday in the 6800 block of Springfield Boulevard, just west of Interstate 95, when Fairfax County police observed what was termed to be “suspicious activity.”

One patrol officer saw a man bring out a backpack and place it in a vehicle, and the officer “also smelled an odor of marijuana coming from the room that the subject had just exited,” the police said.

The police called a drug-sniffing dog to the scene and searched the vehicle, where they found a small quantity of marijuana. They found numerous fraudulent credit cards, “along with other items associated with credit card fraud,” a police report stated.

The patrol officers detained the three suspects at the scene, and they were interviewed by police detectives. The police did not state when the three suspects will next appear in court.
