Police: Possible Human Remains Found in Manchester Lakes Area
A man was walking his dog in the woods behind town homes when he came across what appeared to be human remains.

Fairfax County Police say Friday morning that patrol officers from the Franconia Police district responded to a report of possible human remains found in the 6700 block of Zohara Court in the Manchester Lakes area of Fairfax County.
A man was walking his dog in the woods behind town homes when he came across what appeared to be human remains at around 4:15 P.M. on Thursday, according to Fairfax County Police.
The remains will be examined by the Office of the Medical Examiner, police said. It is under investigation as to how long the bones have been at that location, as well as their identity, according to police.

The cause and manner of death will be investigated by the Office of the Medical Examiner, FCPD noted. Crime Scene and Criminal Investigations Bureau personnel are continuing with the investigation.
