At the time of publication, we've received over 20 responses. Places mentioned by multiple people included King Street Blues, Kate's Irish Pub, Fiona's Irish Pub, Lucky's Sports Theatre & Grill, Dixie Pig and Damon's. The suggestions include places in and outside Kingstowne.

- King Street Blues: This local spot with a focus on Southern food closed in 2014 to make way for Fiona's Irish Pub. It was located at 5810 Kingstowne Towne Center.
- Fiona's Irish Pub: The restaurant replacing King Street Blues suddenly closed in summer 2019.
- Kate's Irish Pub: This local hangout was based at 6131 Backlick Road in Springfield.
- Lucky's Sports Theatre & Grill: This sports bar owned by former NFL linebacker Marvcus Patton suddenly closed at the end of 2019.
- Dixie Pig: This iconic restaurant was located at Route 1 and Beacon Hill Road before it was torn down in 1996.
- Generous George's: This pizza and pasta eatery closed in 2009 at 3006 Duke Street in Alexandria. The space has been slated for years to become Yates Pizza Palace.
