Election 2013: Fairfax County Elects First-Ever Female Sheriff, Stacey Kincaid
Stacey Kincaid, Bryan Wolfe, Chris DeCarlo, Robert Rivera duke it out in sheriff's race.

Fairfax County residents votedĀ for a new sheriff Tuesday, making Stacey Kincaid the first female sheriff of the county.
Kincaid, 48, and a 26-year veteran of the sheriffās office, said her priorities focus on community outreach, especially in neighborhoods of diverse cultural backgrounds, in order to foster more cooperation and therefore safety for all residents.
The elections puts to anĀ end a bitterly fought race, with accusations flying about pilfered campaign signs, unethical mail-outs, attacks on Kincaid about the 2nd amendment and more.
The unofficial results from the State Board of Elections Web site, as of 10:10 p.m., withĀ 239 of 239 precincts reporting:
- Bryan "B.A." Wolfe: 98,686; 39.24%
- Stacey Kincaide: 135,142; 53.74%
- Christopher DeCarlo: 7,463/2.97%
- Robert Rivera: 8,704/3.46%
A captain in the countyās sheriffās office, Kincaid isĀ the first female sheriff of the county. She ranĀ against three contenders:
Bryan āBAā Wolfe,Ā Chris DeCarloĀ (who got attention withĀ thisĀ rap video out titled āDemocracy Rides Againā) andĀ Robert Rivera. DeCarlo is a propane salesman. Rivera is a security analyst.
The race increasingly centered on Kincaid versus Wolfe with the other two candidates often no-shows at local forums.
