Santa Holiday Kickoff Sells Out Quickly In Springfield

The kickoff event for Santa at Springfield Town Center is already sold out. Here are some other times to see Santa.

SPRINGFIELD, VA—It may not be Thanksgiving yet, but families are more than ready to see Santa. How do we know? The Santa welcome event at Springfield Town Center on Saturday, Nov. 18 is sold out.

If you're one of the lucky ticket recipients, it will be a day of fun with snacks, activities and entertainment. Families can greet Santa arriving for the holiday season aboard the Polar Express. From 10 a.m.-1 p.m., there will be musical performances, snacks from the North Pole, seasonal games, and of course pictures with the Jolly Man in Red.

But don't panic if you miss out on the opening event, because there are plenty of opportunities to see Santa. Here are other holiday events going on at Springfield Town Center:

Photos With Santa

Santa will be at Springfield Town Center Nov. 11 through Dec. 24. Santa will generally be there for pictures at 10 a.m. and wrap up a half hour before the mall closes. Christmas Eve hours are 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Santa can be found at the Grand Court on the first level near the main entrance.

In addition, pet photos are held Mondays through Dec. 18. Pets and owners should enter through the mall entrance closest to Dick’s Sporting Goods. Owners must sign a release upon arrival and keep pets leashed while inside the shopping center.

Sensory-Friendly Santa Event

Springfield Town Center is hosting a Sensory-Friendly Santa Breakfast Dec. 3 from 9 a.m.-10:30 a.m. for children with autism and other special needs. The event will provide a more controlled and welcoming environment where children can interact with Santa comfortably. Families can grab pictures and take pictures with Santa. Springfield Town Center is holding this event for the first time.

Toy Donation Drive For Military Families

Springfield Town Center will hold a America's Adopt a Soldier Toy Drive for military families at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. Anyone can donate new toys at Guest Services Nov. 18-Dec. 15.

Belvoir Officers’ Spouses’ Club Gift Wrapping

Gift wrapping will be offered Dec. 2-24 with proceeds benefiting the Fort Belvoir Scholarship Program, which helps local high school students with college tuition. Price per package varies from $3-$8. This service will be located on the Upper Level, between Topshop & Victoria’s Secret.

PREIT Perks Members Weekend

Customers enrolled in the PREIT Perks reward program can receive exclusive offers and discounts throughout the Dec. 2-3 weekend. Offers include free valet parking, free gift wrapping of two packages, $25 Rewards Cash and more. PREIT Perks members must show proof of membership when redeeming offer. Anyone can stop by Guest Services to enroll in the reward program.
