2 Charged After Shooting In Springfield: Police

Fairfax County Police say the two adult victims remain hospitalized.

SPRINGFIELD, VA — Two people were injured in a shooting Wednesday night in Springfield, according to the Fairfax County Police Department.

The shooting happened around 7:24 p.m. in the 7000 block of Spring Garden Drive. Police say two people were in an argument with people they knew when one of the men displayed a gun and shot them. Both victims, two adult men, were taken to the hospital and remain there.

Major Crimes Bureau detectives determined Daymion Frantz, 21, and Darryn Frantz, 20, both of Springfield, were involved in the shooting. Police obtained warrants and put out a lookout for the suspects. Gloucester County Sheriff’s deputies located the men and took them into custody. Both were charged with two counts of aggravated malicious wounding. Daymion was also charged with use of a firearm in the commission of a felony. The men were held without bond in Gloucester County.
