Special Guest to Kick Off Lee High's 2015-2016 School Year
Former pro football player will help students and faculty kick off year in speech Monday night.

Lee High School, as part of its Lancers Unite initiative, has invited speaker Joe Ehrmann of Coach for America to kick off its 2015-16 school year on Monday, Aug. 31, at 6:15 p.m., according to a news release from Fairfax County Public Schools.
Ehrmann will speak to students and community members, then to the school’s coaching staff, as part of the school’s efforts to develop an atmosphere that supports excellence in academics, personal development, and self-fulfillment for all participants in Lee High athletics programs.
Lancers Unite began in October 2014 as the school’s coaches set a new course for the athletic culture and what additional supports and guidance could be provided for student athletes. Coaches at Lee High developed a program that focuses on teamwork, self-discipline, social and personal responsibility, and high standards.

Ehrmann will speak about “Game Plan for Life,” a message about relationships and life lessons through sports. His message is designed to bring out the best in people, teams, families, and the community via leadership, mentoring, and teamwork.
Ehrmann’s discussion with coaches will include information that will enhance that program and talk about the importance of integrity, unity, commitment, trust, respect, self-esteem, tradition, effort, attitude, responsibility, discipline, mental toughness, self-belief, and giving back.
