Springfield Driver Dies After Crashing In Woods

SPRINGFIELD, VA—A Springfield man is dead after crashing his car in the woods Saturday morning.

It was the early morning when the crash happened in the 8400 block of Alban Road. The driver had been heading south on Alban Road when his car crossed into the opposing lane and went off the road.

The car went through a wooded area and crashed into a tree. Frege Adous, 36, died on the scene. There were no passengers or other cars involved.

Detectives do not yet know if speed or alcohol factored into the incident. The crash remains under investigation.

The crash closed Alban Road in both directions between Rolling Road and Boudinot Road for a few hours.
