Springfield Grocery Store Robbed at Gunpoint: Police

When no cash was handed over, the suspect took merchandise, police said.

SPRINGFIELD, VA -- Officers from the Fairfax County Police Department responded Wednesday night, Jan. 6, to the report of a robbery at 7104 Brookfield Plaza, the Shri Krishna grocery store (see map below), according to a news release from FCPD.

An unknown man entered the business shortly before 8 p.m., displayed a handgun and demanded money, police said. No cash was handed over but the suspect took other property from the store and fled. There were no injuries.

The suspect was described by police as black, 25 to 30 years old. He was approximately 6 feet tall and about 185 pounds. He had a goatee and he was wearing a gray jacket and blue jeans.
