Teen Steals, Crashes Car Left Running Outside Restaurant: Police
Incident took place outside Five Guys Monday at lunchtime.

Fairfax County Police say a teenager stole and then crashed a car Monday that was left running outside a Five Guys burger restaurant in Springfield.
The incident took place outside the restaurant, in the 6500 block of Backlick Road (see map) Monday at 11:52 a.m., police said.
A 51-year-old Springfield man parked and left his vehicle, a 2006 Acura TL, with the engine running, outside the Five Guys restaurant while he went inside, police said. The man returned to discover that his vehicle was gone.

A lookout was broadcast to the Virginia State Police and surrounding jurisdictions, police said. A short time later, a a crash was reported, involving the Acura, on southbound I95, just south of the Franconia Road exit.
A Fairfax County police officer responded to the crash scene and after an initial investigation, placed the driver of the Acura, 18-year-old, Abdul Hafeez of the 6800 block of Supreme Court in Springfield, under arrest, police said. He was transported to the Adult Detention Center and charged with grand larceny auto.
