VDOT Worker Struck In I-95 Hit-And-Run Near Kingstowne
A VDOT worker was helping a disabled vehicle when struck by a hit-and-run driver near Kingstowne.

SPRINGFIELD, VA—A Virginia Department of Transportation worker was struck in a hit-and-run not far from Kingstowne Friday morning.
Around 6:20 a.m., Virginia State Police say the VDOT worker was helping a disabled vehicle on northbound Interstate 95 near exit 166B (Fairfax County Parkway/Backlick Road/Fullerton Road) in Springfield. The worker parked on the right shoulder with the emergency lights on, WTOP reports.
He was setting out traffic cones when a green Ford Mustang heading north struck him. He was taken to Fairfax Inova Hospital with serious injuries. The driver fled the scene.
