Virginia Officials to Cut Ribbon, Open Jeff Todd Way Monday
Event takes place at 9:30 a.m.

Virginia elected officials and Fort Belvoir representatives will gather Monday, August 25, at 9:30 a.m. to officially mark the opening of Jeff Todd Way. The nearly three-mile road will pass through Fort Belvoir and connect Telegraph Road to Richmond Highway for the first time since a similar road was closed for security concerns following the attacks of 9/11.
The project will alleviate traffic congestion and provide greater mobility for those who travel along the Telegraph Road and Richmond Highway corridor.
This new four-lane divided roadway, initially named Mulligan Road but renamed in memory of a well-loved local businessman and community leader, will also include a shared use path for bikers and pedestrians.
