Wegmans Warns of Facebook Scam
A phony coupon being posted on the Internet is not from the popular grocery store, Wegmans warns.

FAIRFAX COUNTY, VA -- Wegmans Food Markets, Inc. is alerting consumers Monday afternoon to a scam that involves a fraudulent Facebook post bearing the company’s name, the grocery chain said in a news release.
The company became aware of the scam earlier Monday when an employee questioned the validity of the post, Wegmans noted.
The Facebook post shows the image of a Wegmans storefront with a false claim that the company is giving away a free $200 grocery coupon, the grocer said. This giveaway is neither affiliated with nor supported by Wegmans, the company said.
