Woman Assaulted Tuesday Night in Kingstowne

Fairfax County Police say a woman was assaulted Tuesday night in the Manchester Lakes area of Kingstowne.

The assault took place at about 6:06 p.m. Tuesday in the 6900 block of Mary Caroline Circle (see map below), police said.

A 42-year-old woman was walking alone when a man appeared from out of the bushes, grabbed her in a bear hug and groped her, according to police. The suspect then fled on foot. The victim was not injured.

The suspect was described as a male of unknown race, 25 to 35 years old, wearing dark clothing.
