Woman Sexually Assaulted In Kingstowne: Police

A woman was sexually assaulted in a home near Kingstowne Towne Center, police say. Plus more in the weekend crime recap.

KINGSTOWNE, VA—A woman was sexually assaulted at a home near Kingstowne Towne Center over the weekend, Fairfax County Police say.

Around 5 a.m. on July 1, a man entered the home at the 6500 block of Delia Drive through an unlocked window. He inappropriately touched the victim, a 34-year-old woman. Police say the suspect knew the victim, who did not require medical attention.

Joshua C. Hanger, 27, of Alexandria, was arrested, charged with burglary and aggravated sexual battery and taken to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center.

Burglaries

  • 6200 block of Willowfield Way, 6/30/17 between 9:30 a.m. and 12:25 p.m.Entry was forced into a home and a safe was reported missing.
  • 7000 block of Skyles Way, 7/1/17 around 2:40 a.m. An investigation determined a group of about five males forced entry into an apartment while two residents, a 38-year-old woman and 43-year-old man, were inside. The suspects broke furniture inside the home, then left. The victims were not harmed. The suspects’ faces were covered.
