Woodbridge Pedestrian Dies In Springfield Crash: Police
A pedestian was struck on Loisdale Road early Sunday, according to Fairfax County Police.
SPRINGFIELD, VA — A pedestrian died from injuries in a crash early Sunday in Springfield, according to Fairfax County Police.
The crash happened around 12:05 a.m. at the intersection of Loisdale Road and Loisdale Court. Detective investigations found the pedestrian was crossing Loisdale Road near Loisdale Court when a southbound Toyota Camry struck him. The pedestrian was in the vicinity of a crosswalk when the crash occurred.
The pedestrian, Maurice Lewis, 63, of Woodbridge, was pronounced dead on the scene. The driver stayed on the scene to cooperate with detectives. Police do not believe speed or alcohol were factors for the driver.
