Four Juveniles Arrested in 'Molotov Cocktail' Bomb Incident: 1 Year Ago in Manassas

City of Manassas fire marshals and police officers arrested four juveniles Tuesday linked with the vandalism of a Manassas home using a makeshift incendiary device commonly known as a Molotov cocktail.

At 7:30 a.m. on Aug. 11, officers responded to the 9600 block of Shannon Lane regarding a found bottle in the front lawn.

The glass bottle contained an unidentified liquid and a blue cloth, that was partially burned, inserted into the top of the bottle, according to a City of Manassas release. An investigation revealed the glass bottle contained an unidentified liquid and a partially burned blue cloth inserted into the top of the bottle.

The victim also reported that a vehicle belonging to a resident of the same address was vandalized.

The four juveniles, ages sixteen and seventeen, were each charged with three felony counts: destruction of property, manufacture of a firebomb, and attempted burning of an occupied dwelling. The juveniles are being held at the Prince WilliamCounty Juvenile Detention Center until a court date is scheduled.
