Join local nonprofit Jill’s House for light refreshments and a guided tour of their one-of-a-kind facility on Sunday, June 2 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Hear from Jill’s House co-founder Brenda Solomon and celebrate the special children Jill’s House serves alongside other community members.
After years of planning, Jill’s House opened its doors in Vienna, Virginia in 2010. The organization serves children with special needs and provides overnight respite care and day camps in a fun, safe environment where children with intellectual disabilities enjoy unique experiences in a community with other kids just like them.
To date, Jill’s House has served more than 350 children. They swim in our indoor accessible pool, sing in our music room, create crafts, shoot hoops and play outside on the specially equipped playground. While we celebrate and care for the children, their families are given the gift of time to recharge. This rhythm of respite makes a positive, long-lasting effect on the children, families and communities we serve.
