First Lady Michelle Obama to Visit Fairfax County Elementary School
Wife of Japan's prime minister will accompany first lady to see Japanese immersion classroom.

First Lady Michelle Obama was in Great Falls Sunday with her family, enjoying a hike at Great Falls Park. She’ll be returning to the area next week.
On Tuesday, April 28, Obama and Akie Abe, the wife of the Prime Minister of Japan, Shinzo Abe, will visit Great Falls Elementary School in Great Falls.

During their visit, the first lady, 51, and Abe, 52, will tour a Japanese immersion classroom, which is part of Fairfax Country Public School’s World Languages Immersion Program, where elementary students learn math, science, and health through a foreign language.
In the past, students from the school have visited Japan and have also hosted students from Japan.

Obama made her first official trip to Japan last month. The prime minister and his wife are expected to arrive Sunday for a state visit. The visit is expected to include a historic address to Congress by the prime minister, on the 70th anniversary of the ending of World War II.
