McLean 2021 Veterans Day Ceremony To Feature Vietnam Veteran Pins
The Veterans Day Ceremony will honor all veterans while Vietnam veterans will receive a special lapel pin.

MCLEAN, VA — The 2021 Veterans Day ceremony will return to the Memorial Garden outside McLean High School and include a special presentation for Vietnam veterans.
The ceremony will be held Thursday, Nov. 11 at 11 a.m. at the McLean High School Memorial Garden, 1633 Davidson Road, McLean. In partnership with the 50th anniversary Vietnam War Commemoration, Vietnam veterans will receive the Department of Defense Vietnam Veteran Lapel Pin as a memento of their service. All living U.S. military veterans who served active duty between Nov. 1, 1955 and May 15, 1975 are eligible for the lapel pin.
The guest speaker will be retired Col. Mark R. Franklin, chief of the history and legacy branch of the USA Vietnam War Commemoration. The event will also feature local dignitary speakers and patriotic songs. The ceremony is hosted by McLean American Legion Post 270.
